Hi, I'm Emma.

I want to tell your birth story.

When my son was born, I had every intention of photographing his birth. But in the moment I wasn't prepared and now I have little to no photos of that incredible afternoon.

Don't make the same mistake I did.

Let's make a plan to capture your beautiful birth.

here's why you should hire me to capture your birth:

Birth is a blur.

Photos bring back beautiful memories.

Babies change so quickly.

By the time the dad has a chance to pick up the camera their head shape has already changed, their feet have stretched out, and that crooked nose has already straightened!

Fathers should be in the photos.

The emotions experienced during birth are priceless.

The smiles are real. The tears are real. The exhaustion is real. The love is real!

Quality images.

The Value of Beautiful Images.

Birthing is one of the most important journeys in one’s life, and to have the story captured on film from beginning to end is special.

Birth Photography FAQ

Will we meet before the birth?

Absolutely! It is important to me that we meet and you are comfortable with my presence during your birth. If we find that our personalities are not a good match, I am happy to recommend another birth photographer.

Will my photos be kept private if I wish them to be?

If privacy is a concern of yours, I am happy to respect your comfort level. There are plenty of images I can use on the internet to display the beauty of birth without showing nudity of any kind.

What do you photograph?

Emotions. Moments. The story. Don't worry, I won't get that shot if you don't want me to. This is something we'll nail down before you go into labor!

What if you can't make it to the birth?

If I miss your birth during the time in which I am on-call (within 2 weeks of your estimated due date), you can use your birth photography investment as a credit towards any other type of session I offer.

When I go into labor, when should I call you?

Please CALL me as soon as something begins to happen. This gives me a good heads-up to prepare. Once you are in active labor, have your partner keep in touch with me and I will come over as soon as I can.

How long do you stay after the baby is born?

Typically, I stay about 2 hours after the baby is born.

How soon do I get my pictures?

You will receive a few images of your baby within 24 hours of the birth. Your full gallery will arrive within 4-6 weeks after the birth.

Do you use a flash?

I bring my external flash to all births - you never know what the lighting situation is going to be. That being said, I will assess the situation when I arrive - there may not be a need for me to use it during labor. Oftentimes, you won't even notice the flash and I make sure not to use it around the new baby's sensitive eyes.

What if I go into labor in the middle of the night?

I ask that you give me as much notice as possible when you begin to notice signs of labor so that I can begin making arrangements for childcare, but I understand births happen at all hours of the day or night. You can call or text me at any time and I will be there as soon as possible, even if it is at midnight!

Every detail.

Every emotion.

Every moment.

Captured forever.
