A Chat with Pinehall Farms

Sarah Dugan, Wedding Coordinator at Pinehall Farms, gives us an up-close and personal look at what your wedding experience can look like at a premier Butler, PA wedding venue.

A Rustic Yet Elegant Pittsburgh Wedding Venue

Pinehall at Eisler Farms is more than just a barn venue—it’s an immersive experience set on a family-owned farm that has been lovingly maintained for generations. With its sprawling tree farm, two picturesque lakes, and a nearby flower farm, the venue offers countless opportunities for stunning wedding photography and a serene atmosphere that guests adore.

Tell us a little bit about your venue — what makes it special?

Pinehall at Eisler Farms is a beautiful, heritage barn venue set on a family farm run by three generations of the Eisler Family now. Eisler Flower Farm is also conveniently located onsite at Pinehall, directly across from the Getting Ready Cottage! What makes Pinehall so unique is not only our flower farm, but the gorgeous tree farm that the rest of the farm boasts, our not one but two picturesque lakes, the forest for dramatic woodland shots, our exceptional hospitality and last but not least, our extensive decor collection all couples can use at no extra cost!

How would you describe the vibe couples can expect when they get married here?

Laid back, authentic style with that rural western PA charm!

What are some favorite features couples and guests always gush over?

Our couples love having a designated coordinator to help get them through the biggest day of their lives. They also appreciate having so many unique photo spots to choose from, and of course saving tons of money on decor by using our collection! I would be lying if I didn’t say our firework shows are always the fan favorites, though!

The Perfect Venue for Nature-Loving Couples

One of the standout features of Pinehall is its ability to provide a peaceful rural ambiance while remaining easily accessible from Pittsburgh. The venue’s natural beauty is complemented by a variety of well-thought-out amenities, including:

  • A gorgeous ceremony site under two ancient beech trees
  • A dedicated getting-ready cottage
  • An extensive decor collection is available at no extra cost
  • Exclusive catering from Medure’s Catering
  • Firework shows for a grand and unforgettable send-off

What makes your location unique for couples who want that peaceful rural feel without being too far from the city?

Our onsite flower farm and distillery set us apart from the crowd, providing liquor and floral packages for any couples who prefer the convenience! We also have an extensive decor collection available for all of our couples to use. Our couples love this feature, since so many centerpieces add up fast and what do you do with it all once the wedding is over?

What’s included when couples book with you?

The rental of the venue, getting ready cottage, access to our decor collection, a bar package that includes everything except the alcohol (2 bartenders, mixers, cups, garnishes), an onsite wedding coordinator and event host. The coordinator will be present from when set up begins to after dinner is served, the event host will arrive one hour before the ceremony and be present the entire evening until everyone leaves! We also have a variety of add-on options available for the couples who want to simplify their wedding planning process! My personal favorite add-on is the fireworks, who can go wrong with a gorgeous light show as your grand exit?

Do you have any favorite ceremony spots or photo locations on the property?

Our ceremony site at Pinehall is absolutely gorgeous, set under two great old beech trees. I like to think about just how many weddings and happy moments those trees have seen in their lifetime! I also loveee going into the Eisler Flower Farm flower fields for the most amazing floral shots! Especially in late summer or early fall when the dahlias are going wild. There is also a magical spot in the woods in a large patch of ferns that has the most dreamy and ethereal lighting in the afternoons. And last but not least, taking out our golf cart for some golden hour shots all across the tree farm!

Stress-Free Wedding Planning with a Personal Touch

Couples who book Pinehall at Eisler Farms receive full-service coordination, ensuring a seamless and stress-free wedding day. From setup in the morning to the grand exit at night, a dedicated wedding coordinator and event host ensure every detail is handled with care. The venue also provides bartenders and customizable add-on packages, including floral arrangements from the onsite flower farm and stunning fireworks displays.

How far in advance do couples usually book with you, and do you host weddings year-round?

We host weddings at Pinehall from May 1st to October 31st, or the first weekend in November if October 31st happens to fall on a Friday or Saturday. Couples typically book one year to a year and a half in advance to leave plenty of time for wedding planning!

Can couples bring in their own vendors, or do you have a preferred list?

Pinehall works with Medure’s Catering exclusively, and provides bartenders as part of the package. Outside of that, we have many great vendors we can recommend, but couples are welcome to bring in whoever they like!

Stunning Photo Opportunities in Every Season

For photographers, Pinehall offers an array of dreamy backdrops. Whether it's capturing golden hour portraits across the tree farm, intimate shots in the dahlia-filled flower fields, or magical moments in the lush ferns of the woodland area, every angle is picture-perfect. It’s no wonder this Butler wedding venue is a favorite among couples looking to document their love story in a naturally elegant setting.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give couples who are planning a wedding here?

Streamline and simplify your wedding planning process as much as possible. Know what is important to you and when to say “thank you, but that tradition/idea/suggestion is not for me”. It’s your wedding day so this is the perfect time to show off what is unique to you, not just what everybody else does!

What’s your favorite thing about hosting weddings at your venue?

I love getting there early in the mornings when everything is quiet and calm, it is so peaceful. The birds are singing and a lot of times the frogs in the lakes join in too! The serenity of being out in nature is tied with my love of watching people in love. Getting to see such beautiful couples surrounded by their loved ones as they celebrate love and hope for the future together is truly what lights me up about weddings the most.

Emma is a wedding photographer based just north of Pittsburgh who’s all about real moments, natural light, and making people feel completely at ease in front of the camera. When she’s not behind the lens, you can find her browsing farmers markets, planning her next road trip, or chasing her kids around with a cold coffee in hand.
