If you’ve just had a baby and the thought of packing a diaper bag, getting everyone dressed, and leaving the house makes you want to cry a little, you’re not alone my friend.

Those first few weeks are such a blur. Your body is healing, your hormones are shifting, and your baby is still figuring out the difference between night and day. You’re operating on baby time! Feeding, changing, and snuggling on repeat! And honestly? That’s exactly where you’re meant to be.

That’s why in-home newborn sessions are such a gift.

Instead of rushing out the door or worrying about whether the baby will nap in the car, you get to stay right where you’re most comfortable, in your own home.

Home Is Your Safe Zone

There’s something deeply instinctual about wanting to be home after giving birth. It’s your nest and your safe place. You know where everything is, you can control the lighting, the temperature, the noise, and you can feed your baby in your favorite chair instead of trying to find privacy in a studio.

An in-home session honors that natural desire to stay close and cocooned. You don’t have to “perform” or get everything perfect. I simply meet you where you are in your cozy corner of the world and capture what real life looks like in this sweet, fleeting season.

No Rush, No Pressure

The beauty of shooting at home is that everything unfolds at its own pace. If the baby needs to eat, we pause. If you need a minute to breathe or grab a snack, that’s fine too. There’s no strict schedule or pressure to make things happen quickly.

We just follow your family’s rhythm.

Some of my favorite photos happen while you’re feeding, rocking, or gently shushing your baby back to sleep. Those quiet in-between moments that tell the real story of early motherhood. The focus isn’t on posing or perfection; it’s on presence.

All the Comforts of Home

Another perk? All your “just in case” things are right there...diapers, extra swaddles, burp cloths, the white noise machine, snacks, coffee, whatever you need. You don’t have to pack a thing or remember a list. Everything you and your baby could possibly need is already within reach.

If the baby spits up, no big deal. If you need to change outfits or take a break, we do it. The goal is to keep things natural, stress-free, and true to you.

It’s About Connection, Not Perfection

When we’re at home, everyone relaxes. Your baby can be themselves whether that is sleepy, wiggly, or wide-eyed. You can be yourself too! No rushing, no pretending, no worrying about the time. Just soft light, gentle voices, and the warmth of your own space.

I’ll guide you through gentle movements, help with little details, and photograph all the cozy, love-filled moments that happen naturally between you and your baby.

Because when you look back on these photos years from now, I want you to remember what it felt like...that sweet, safe, quiet space where you first fell in love with your baby.
